Cabinets of Curiosity | Buro Jet

Snout Cup (Dog) At first sight it looks like a nice ordinary cup. But be aware!....it plays a game with it’s user. The Pig Snout Cup was the first. Later we designed also a bear, monkey, dog and cow snout cup. The Snout Cups are made in cooperation with JORINE. As Egbert-Jan Lam / buroJET and JORINE care about animals we donate an amount of every pig snout cup sold to Pigs in Need, a dutch organisation who cares about good health of pigs. available: dog, cat, bunny, cow, monkey, bear, and pig.

Xpresso - Espresso cups The design is translated in a computer drawing and then printed trhrough Laser sintering technique in a 3D model. From this model the moulds are made. The shape of Xpresso is derived from old dutch handmade cups that were shaped round at the bottem and triangular at the rim, allowing good stirring and drinking. The design of the ear and saucer are dirived from industrial details in metal. The shape allows efficient spacesaving stacking on top of an espresso machine because of the triangular shape of the cups.

Stick Chair An ode to antique spindle chairs constructed with turned wooden parts. In the Stick chair the turned parts are used functional as a seat and a backrest, set between two simple timber frames. The profile of the turned parts is shaped in a way that it follows the shape of the human body. The Stick chair is made in ash wood and laquer matte finish.

Paper Laser Lights, colored. These shades are lasercut out of 250 grams paper. A star shaped flat package which can easely be folded into a 3D lightshade.

Hedgehog insulation cup. The Hedhog insulation cup, made out of 3D printed Polyamide. The inner cup is the container to hold the liquid, the outer cup is former trough pins, creating a skin of air between your hot drink and your hands. The pins get smaller at the top of the cup towards the rim so you can feel with your lips if the drink is not to hot! Hedgehog cup is suitable for hot and cold non alcoholic drinks, and available in white, grey and black.
