Kim van den Belt's research is about the development of new sustainable CO2 filters made out of a stone type olivine and photosynthetic algae to create bicarbonate solutions. She is exploring the possibility to design a circular solution with natural, local ingredients.

Kim is someone who sees nature as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, examines this in her design practice and implements the results of this research in the materials she develops and the products she makes. Her interest is mainly in plants, rocks, m
