AMBARA is a plant-based textile lab, collaborative with Rwandan craftsmen to research the possibilities for Rwanda to manufacture responsible plant-based textiles. The end result must be an easily accessible method of local textile production that is both economically and sustainably sound.

Rwanda is successfully stimulating local design and production of clothes. These clothes are often made with imported synthetic textiles and raw cotton, although we think many opportunities lie in the usage of the local resources.
