Welcome to Eindhoven International KnoopXL! You may not recognize it yet, but you're already here! In the coming years the area around the railroad, from Stroomhuisje to Berenkuil, will be developed into the new city heart of Eindhoven. But what does this mean for you? Discover it and think along!
Together we make the city
Located at such a central spot of Eindhoven and thus of Brainport, here we are working on a new heart of the city near the central station. We are building this new city district by giving substance to the area bit by bit in cocreation with those involved. By trying out different things we find out what suits the place and the needs there are. We call this placemaking, although at this stage 'placetesting' might be more appropriate.
During the DDW, people can participate in thinking about the future of this area in the exhibition; you are literally walking through a piece of the city. Through the input we collect during the week, the story of Knoop XL is brought to life and that can also be seen at this location. We elaborate on previously collected insights and take the visitor with us in this process. There are also daily guided tours and on weekdays theme sessions are organized. All aimed at listening to sounds from the city that help give a different view on the development and contribute to the meaning of this future area.
