De Keramiek Fabriek consists of a series of short stop motion animations that playfully show the work of Studio Remy. It is obvious that Studio Remy's handwriting can be called artisanal.
The productionproces
In the Keramiek Fabriek we take a look at the production process of the ceramic collection 'Blocks'. The distinguishable steps in the creation of this collection form the basis for the animations.
Blocks Collection
Blocks by Studio Remy is a range of building parts that make up for a modular system in order to create ceramic shapes. Like a child testing the boundaries when building a tower, Remy plays with the boundaries of casting clay. By organizing the mold part in different ways, unique shapes are created. Due to the separate parts that make up a mold, every object has it’s own identity. The modular system provides Remy with the possibility to search for the intuitive ‘right’ shape. The system can and will be expanded with different shapes and parts for the molds.
