3D Viewing Rooms

The 3D Viewing Rooms are a digital, virtual experience that all DDW participants designed entirely by themselves, from the content to the shape, colour and lighting of the space. Here, you can watch videos and photography, listen to audio fragments or podcasts and immerse yourself in the stories of designers.

During DDW, you can easily click through to a 3D Viewing Room via an event page on by clicking the ‘Explore 3D Viewing Room’ button. With the keyboard arrows, you can navigate forward, back, left and right through the room. Tour through an exhibition and leave a message or donation after your visit!

If a DDW participant also broadcasts livestreams during DDW, these can be seen on the right-hand side of his or her event page. As soon as the live stream starts, you will find the option to follow the stream there. Do you happen to be in the 3D Viewing Room of a designer when his or her livestream starts? We will notify you with a link to follow the stream. In addition, the 'Happening Now' overview on the homepage gives you an overview of all streams that are live at that moment and that will start in the next hour.

About DDW

In October of each year, Dutch Design Week (DDW) takes place in Eindhoven. The biggest design event in Northern Europe presents work and ideas of more than 2600 designers to more than 350,000 visitors from home and abroad. In more than 110 locations across the city, DDW organizes and facilitates exhibitions, lectures, prize ceremonies, networking events, debates and festivities.

Although during the event every imaginable discipline and aspect of design is on offer, the emphasis is on experiment, innovation and cross-overs. Exceptional attention each year goes to work and development of young talent.

DDW concentrates on the design of the future and the future of design. It is our objective to show how designers from around the world shape a positive future and to strengthen the position and meaning of Dutch designers.
