Chairs don’t sit themselves
That’s why Bob Copray and Wannes Royaards are temporarily turning Salon Veneman into a living room. No showroom, no design on pedestals, but a house full of furniture and objects to look at, sit on and eat at. Practical where it needs to be, beautiful where it can be, with attention to materials, craftsmanship and longevity. Design that gets to do what it was made for: to be used.
Less, less, less
Housing shortages, limited space, scarcity. And yet we keep making, buying and throwing things away as if everything were infinite. There is another way: make something well, use it for a long time, take care of it, pass it on and give it meaning. For one time only, the work of both designers comes together at Salon Veneman. Sit on it, eat at it, look at it, talk about it. Everything is for sale. Except the house.
Here to sleep
During Dutch Design Week, we’re looking for overnight guests to spend one night inside the exhibition. You can stay solo, as a couple or as a duo. At the end of the day, you get the key to Salon Veneman. From then on, the house is your home. Want to stay the night? Apply before 10 October via mail@salonveneman.com and tell us briefly who you are and why you’d like to wake up here.
