Via the Design Tours booking system:
Step 1
- Choose one of the Design Tours. More information about the different tours can be found here.
Step 2
- Choose an available date and time slot and select the number of participants.
Step 3
- A maximum of 15 people can join each tour. Are you booking for more than 15 people? You will automatically book multiple tours.
This is how it works in the booking system:
- Enter the total number of participants in the form.
- The system will show how many tours you need to accommodate everyone, initially within the same time slot.
Step 4
- Select the language in which you would like to take the tour: Dutch or English.
- Would you prefer another language? Email tours@dutchdesignfoundation.com and we will see whether we can accommodate your request.
Step 5
- Add the tour booking to your basket.
Step 6
- Check the summary of your selected tour. Is everything correct? Continue to the booking details.
Step 7
- To prepare the quotation, we will ask for your contact details and reference number. You can also email the reference number to us later.
Please note: make sure you enter the correct details in this form. These details will appear on the quotation and invoice.
Step 8
- Check the complete summary of your booking and confirm your booking.
Step 9
- You will receive a quotation from us. You then have 14 days to accept it. The quotation includes a payment link. You will receive the invoice afterwards.
Are you booking a Custom Tour? Once you have accepted the quotation, we will ask about your organisation’s areas of interest. Our team will use this information to create a tailored tour.
The tours are divided into three categories, with several options available within each category:

Custom Tours
Custom Tours are tailored to your organisation’s areas of interest and vary in length from 1.5 to 3 hours.
The tours start at the DDW Business Lounge in Area51 on Ketelhuisplein. Mission Tours may also start at Fuutlaan. You will receive the exact starting location with your booking.
Custom Tours and Strijp-S Bites & Insights can be booked until Friday 2 October inclusive. All other Design Tours can be booked until 19 October inclusive.
A maximum of 15 people can join each tour. Are you booking for more than 15 people? You will need to book multiple tours.
This is how it works in the booking system:
- Enter the total number of participants in the form.
- The system will show how many tours you need to accommodate everyone, initially within the same time slot.
- If that time slot is fully booked, the system will search for other available time slots for the remaining tours.
Additional participants can join, up to a maximum of 15 people per tour.
To add participants, purchase additional standard Dutch Design Week (DDW) tickets through the ticket shop. Make sure these tickets have been exchanged for DDW wristbands before the tour begins.
Please note: you must inform the Design Tours team about any additional participants so that sufficient technical equipment is available when the tour begins. Email tours@dutchdesignfoundation.com.
Additional participants can be registered until 14 October.
Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable. Dutch Design Week runs for nine days and the tickets are transferable, so why not make a colleague, friend or family member happy with the remaining tickets?
Unfortunately, we cannot arrange this. However, bicycles can be hired at several locations during Dutch Design Week (DDW). You can also hire an OV-fiets from Eindhoven Central Station or Strijp-S station.
The tours take place from Saturday 17 to Saturday 24 October inclusive.
Design Tours can be booked in time slots, with a new slot available every half hour. A limited number of tours is available per time slot.
If no tours are available in a particular time slot, the maximum number of tours has already been booked for that time. No additional tours can depart due to the availability of the Design Guides.
The tours last between 1.5 and 4 hours.
The price of each tour is listed alongside its description. When booking a tour, you also book admission tickets for Dutch Design Week (DDW). The cost is calculated based on the number of participants. These tickets are valid not only during the tour but throughout DDW, from Saturday 17 to Sunday 25 October.
Bicycle hire is charged separately for Mission Tours. For Strijp-S Bites & Insights, additional costs per person apply for coffee and tea, lunch and drinks.
All prices shown exclude VAT. When you make a booking, you will receive a price overview that includes VAT.
Early Bird tickets are intended for individual visitors. Tickets purchased by invoice receive a volume discount instead of the Early Bird discount.

Tours are generally offered in Dutch or English. If you would prefer another language, please contact us at tours@dutchdesignfoundation.com. We will see whether it is possible to offer the tour in your preferred language.
Unfortunately not. The bicycle is reserved specifically for you and your group for the duration of the Design Tour.
You can let us know when booking your tour. We will then contact you to ensure the tour is accessible for everyone.

The 1.5-hour Custom Tour offers a compact, unique and fully tailor-made DDW experience. This tour is ideal for organisations, teams or networks looking to discover the most relevant projects within their field or area of interest. Gain inspiration and connect directly with designers.
Custom Tour | 2 hrs
During the 2-hour Custom Tour, you and your colleagues or relations will explore a programme tailored to your organisation, featuring relevant projects, designers and insights aligned with your interests or network. Ideal for organisations, teams or networks looking to discover the projects most relevant to them. Get inspired and connect directly with designers.
Custom Tour | 2,5 hrs
The 2.5-hour Custom Tour offers additional room for deeper exploration, encounters and conversation. A tailor-made programme centred around the themes, innovations and designers most relevant to your organisation. Get inspired and meet the designers behind the work.
Custom Tour | 3 hrs
With the 3-hour Custom Tour, you’ll take a deeper dive into DDW. Together with an experienced Design Guide, you’ll visit a curated selection of projects and designers aligned with the interests and ambitions of your organisation or network.
