For Studio Kars en Boom, aluminium was an unexpected material, which made it all the more intriguing. Using residual aluminium, they explored the material’s possibilities. They sought softness within its hardness, translating this contrast into playful, approachable sculptures.
Design as research
Colour of Reflection is composed of different aluminium forms, combined with colour and graphic elements. We explore how the material can be shaped, how colours interact, and what happens when different elements come together in a single composition. The result is a spatial artwork that offers a different view from every angle.
