Sheer Spine by studi0range
Sheer Spine by studi0range
Femke Hardy
Sheer Spine by Willem De Roo/studi0range, based in Limburg, Belgium, explores furniture, fashion and collectible design. A laser-cut aluminium skeleton and adaptable textile skin form a storage system that can be easily assembled and disassembled.

SHEER SPINE

is an accessible storage system that translates the essence of the spine into a functional design. The piece consists of an aluminum skeleton and an innovative, detachable assembly system, protected by a textile ‘skin’ that users can slide or tension themselves to control transparency and protection. To bridge the step toward a unique, collectible object, the base rack can be personalized with interchangeable, cast aluminum ornaments. New options will launch annually, starting with a ram as a symbol of strength (skeleton) and protection (skin).
