Studio Tjeerd Veenhoven explores how fungi transform plant waste into new materials. Oyster mushrooms break down lignin, releasing cellulose fibres for paper, while brown-rot fungi break down cellulose and leave lignin behind. This creates new opportunities for natural paper, inks and dyes.
