The Light tower
The Lichttoren is known as one of Eindhoven’s most iconic landmarks. This former Philips factory is home to both WestCord Hotel Eindhoven and Design Academy Eindhoven. A place where innovation takes centre stage.
The WestCord Hotel gave us the space and opportunity to curate an exhibition in the same building we once studied at. Though after graduation we all went our own ways, developing new techniques, products and materials, this DDW we come together once again next to the place where it all started.
The Work
Designers Aaron Preyer and Emma Werkhoven carefully curated a group of designers, each with their own unique story. Furniture, ceramics, lighting and publications.
This exhibition brings together a variety of disciplines and offers visitors a glimpse into how different generations of designers turn their ideas into tangible creations. You can expect lots of new work!
