Kinetic triangle
Kinetic Triangle is a 60x45x20 cm metal and glass piece.
The piece glows in the dark thanks to the bioluminescent liquid, that charges itself with UV
sunlight.
The triangular shape allows the piece to oscilliate with a simple push, making the liquid moving
from a side to another.
The metal triangle is handmade, polished and spaypainted, the support ring is lathe-worked,
and the glass tube is made in Marc Barreda’s studio.
Refraction tree
Refraction tree (65x45x30 cm) is a glass tree placed on top of a speaker, the vibrations from
the low frequencies go through the tree branches making the glass flowers vibrate in rhythm
with the song.
Red lasers are pointed on thoses moving flowers, so the refraction of the light dances, creating
unexpected patterns.
The speaker is covered in a ceramic box, acting like the roots of the tree.
The glass tree and flowers are lampworked by Ludovico Liu and I, the 15kg ceramic box is
handmade and spraypainted.
Back to analogue
This interactive sculpture is an attempt at
merging the
beginning and future of digital entertainment
to reflect on the evolution of
computers and media, from the first radio
made in 1893 to holograms that are a
representation of a futuristic world.
The TV projects media that is supposed to
fixate you on the screen representing the
dopamine that technology gives, the video is
a collection that I made while browsing online.
To activate the TV you place your phone in
the
container changing it’s purpose, transforming
it into a secondary objects that give an
alternative for consuming media.
Ceramics is the main medium because I
wanted a material that reconnected to nature
and that gave a different look from real digital
instruments, the set has
essential knobs and components as I tried to
make it look as general as possible, the subtle
glaze is intended to give the pieces a old and
corroded look.
