How to get to DDW
Find all information about travelling to Eindhoven and getting between the different DDW locations here.
Cycling to Dutch Design Week is a great idea! Eindhoven has numerous bike paths that connect locations, and you can find free, and in some cases even supervised, bike parking.
If you travel to Dutch Design Week by train, you will arrive right in the heart of the design world. The intercity will take you to Eindhoven Central Station in the city centre. Local trains also stop at Strijp-S Station. Check the Journey Planner on ns.nl or the Reisplanner Xtra app from 10 days before your departure.
NS Combi-Ticket
This year, you can again use the NS Combi-Ticket. Are you coming to Dutch Design Week by train? Purchase your ticket through NS Spoordeelwinkel. If you are travelling by train from the Eindhoven region, check the special regional fare applicable to the NS Combi-Ticket.
You can reach Eindhoven by car from Amsterdam/Utrecht via the A2, from Rotterdam/Tilburg via the A58, from Antwerp via the A67, and from Arnhem/Nijmegen via the A50.
P+R
There are several parking garages at hotspots like the city centre and Strijp-S, but be aware that it can be busy. A good idea is to park at the various Park + Ride (P+R) locations: park on the outskirts of the city and take a direct bus to Dutch Design Week. There are two options:
- P+R Meerhoven, on Noord-Brabantlaan
- Bus connection to Strijp-S and Stationsplein locations
- P+R Genneper Parken, on Aalsterweg
- Bus connection to Stationsplein
Return bus tickets cost €0.50 per person.
Large groups coming to Dutch Design Week by coach can use the Kiss & Rides.
There are two clearly marked Kiss & Ride locations, indicated by Dutch Design Week signs. One is at the Flixbus stop opposite the yellow bowling pins on John F. Kennedylaan, and the second is on Achtseweg Zuid, on the other side of Beukenlaan, in Eindhoven.
At the Kiss & Ride location at Achtseweg Zuid, the bus can temporarily park near Strijp-S Station for everyone to disembark. However, we urge you not to leave the bus there. There is ample free parking for coaches further along Achtseweg Zuid.
All information regarding reachability to and at Dutch Design Week can be found here.
Accessibility
All information regarding accessibility during Dutch Design Week can be found here.
Accessibility varies by location. The programme provides up-to-date accessibility information for each location. More information about tickets and assistance can be found on the ticket page.
From September, you can check in the programme for each location whether dogs are allowed or not.
Service dogs are welcome everywhere. The dog must wear a harness clearly indicating that it's a service dog.
Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) works with Cultuur Inclusief to make DDW accessible to more people. Each year, 500 tickets are available through Cultuur Inclusief for €2.40 for people who are unable to pay the regular ticket price. Would you like to purchase one of these tickets? You can apply from 1 September via the Cultuur Inclusief website.
Please note: Cultuur Inclusief manages a limited number of discount vouchers. Their website explains exactly who is eligible and how to apply. Dutch Design Foundation provides the discount but has no influence over the selection process or allocation of tickets.
If you are unable to buy a DDW ticket due to financial constraints, you can apply through the website of Cultuur Inclusief.
Cultuur Inclusief manages a limited number of discount vouchers for Dutch Design Week. You can read on their website how to qualify for a discount. We, as the organisers of Dutch Design Week, provide the tickets but have no say in the distribution of the discount vouchers.

There are designated pick-up points at:
- Ketelhuisplein
- Piet Hein Eek

Practical Information
During Dutch Design Week, there is a First Aid post in the Klokgebouw.
For all other locations, the staff/organisation of the respective location should be informed. They can handle simple First Aid cases themselves or refer you to the right person.
In case of an emergency, always contact 112.
Found items are kept at the information desk in Klokgebouw. If you have lost something that has not yet been found, please email service@dutchdesignfoundation.com with a clear description of the item.
If your item is found during or after DDW and your contact details are included with it, we will contact you. After DDW, lost property is kept for a maximum of one month.
Dutch Design Week is fully accessible to assistance dogs. The dog must wear a harness that clearly indicates it is an assistance dog.
The Klokgebouw has a breastfeeding room. If you'd like to use it, please visit the information desk in the entrance hall (Klokgebouw 50).
If you are unable to wear your wristband throughout DDW because of work, a hospital stay or another important reason, you can request a personal pass at the service desk in Klokgebouw or at Eindhoven Central Station. This pass will replace your wristband for the remainder of DDW.
Please note: You can only request a pass while your wristband is still secured around your wrist. First exchange your e-ticket for a wristband and then submit your request. Always have your wristband removed by a member of the service team. If you cut it off yourself, it will no longer be valid and a personal pass cannot be issued.
Requests for a personal pass are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate every request; the decision of the service team is final.
You can find all terms and conditions regarding tickets and entry here.
