Why this Award?

More and more builders, designers and developers see the added value of a nature-inclusive approach to their project. They express this in a myriad of ways. However, the process from drawing board to a completed project is often long. Making it all the more important to be innovative and look ahead to what will be needed in the future.

In a time when topics such as nature-inclusiveness, biodiversity, climate adaptation and circular construction are more relevant than ever, Vogelbescherming Nederland wants to shine the spotlight on these good examples. Because we will only be ready for the future when we build with nature!

Which builder, designer, developer or green planner brings the most life to the city with their project and proofs to be ready for the future?

In 2025, we will present the Nature-inclusive Building & Design Award for the fourth time to progressive nature-inclusive designs and projects. Scalability is a recurring theme, because we believe that a healthy living environment should be accessible to everyone.
This year, extra emphasis is placed on innovation and green planning, because a design or project does not stop at the hard boundaries of a building.
