Struggling to find your next favourite book? With Boekbot, your smart reading buddy, it’s simple. No tricky keywords or complex filters needed – just chat in everyday language. Answer a few quick questions and get a book tip that surprises you. Independent, reliable and inspiring, Boekbot is developed by eight libraries in the Brainport region.
The library as a place to connect
Young people (15–25) are growing up in an increasingly digital world. They are constantly online, yet often experience their connections as superficial. Research by Amber van Houtum (student rend research, Fontys) shows that they long for a place where they can truly connect and be themselves. She translated this into a spatial concept: an open and welcoming third space in the library, designed especially for young people. A third space is a place outside home, school or work where people can meet informally.
Magical Book Experience
Imagine opening a book and suddenly the story comes to life all around you. With visuals and sound, you step into another world. This is what you’ll experience in the Magical Book Experience, created by students of SintLucas. It’s more than technology. The magical bookcase shows how imagination and innovation together create new ways to read, learn, and experience stories.
