What's on the agenda?

The morning starts in the Natlab cinema with a plenary program moderated by Marsha Simon. Experts from the furniture, data, and fashion industries share insights into the opportunities, challenges, and regulations around the Digital Product Passport (DPP). How can the DPP contribute to a more transparent and circular furniture chain? And how can SMEs prepare for upcoming EU legislation? With contributions from, among others, Jolanda Kooi (tex.tracer), who has implemented DPPs in the fashion sector, and representatives of CBM and FFF working on standards for digital data exchange within the furniture industry.

At work!

After the plenary session, participants dive into two interactive workshops. The first focuses on data traceability: material composition, origin, environmental impact, and repair or recycling information. The second explores visualization and storytelling: how can we make product data meaningful and accessible for designers, manufacturers, and consumers? In small groups, participants collaborate to make invisible data tangible – building a shared understanding of the future digital chain.

What are the next steps?

The session concludes with a collective reflection: what insights have emerged around the digital chain standard? Where lie the biggest opportunities, and what next steps are needed to create a valuable furniture passport? We wrap up with a shared lunch in Natlab’s restaurant – an informal moment to meet fellow participants and continue the conversation. The event marks a starting point for continued collaboration toward a digitally connected, circular furniture industry.
