A handcrafted bread furniture

The "Croûte que Croûte" collection features classic home furniture pieces entirely made out of bread : A chair (T170), a vase (T65), and a lamp (T65). Inspired by traditional bakery decorative techniques, the objects are made from "pâte morte"; a special type of dough without any leavening agent, used in bakery contests for making sculptural bread creations. This collection re-invents and invites the beautiful craft of bread baking into our homes. Each piece is handcrafted and showcases bread-sculpted details of ears of wheat, ornamenting and growing from the objects themselves in an organic way. A bold and unique signature that binds the collection together. The number coming after the name of each object (T170, T65 ..) refers to the type of flour used in the making process; the higher the number the more the bran present in the wheat, resulting in a darker result. Each piece of the collection is made entirely from our special bread recipe.
