Design Workshop: Embassy of Livestock Animals

Reflect on inclusion by exploring how design can open space for the lives and perspectives of non-human entities.

This design ethics workshop makes the hidden lives of livestock animals visible. Through creative exercises, dialogue, and visual methods, participants explore new ways of relating to non-human beings and reflect on care, ethics, and justice in our shared world.

Exploring Inclusion and Justice Through Design

In the Netherlands there are more farmed animals than people, yet we rarely see or hear them in daily life. This workshop invites you to imagine what changes if we bring them into our awareness.

Through creative exercises, dialogue, and visual reflection, we’ll step into their perspective and explore new ways of thinking about care and justice. No special skills are needed, just curiosity and openness. Together we use tools from social design, interaction design, and speculative design to question who is included and who is left out in our systems.

You will leave with fresh perspectives, a stronger sense of connection, and ideas to carry into your own practice or daily life. It’s an accessible and inspiring way to explore inclusion and empathy through design.
