About the Workshop: Exploring Inclusion Through Design
In the Netherlands there are more farmed animals than people, yet we rarely see or hear them in daily life. In this workshop, you will use clay to make a small object that gives presence and attention to these often-hidden lives.
Through dialogue and working with clay, we step into non-human perspectives and explore new ways of thinking about care, inclusion, and justice. No special skills are needed, just curiosity and openness. Together we use tools from social design, interaction design, and speculative design to question who is included and who is left out in our systems.
You will leave with fresh perspectives, a sense of connection, and a tangible object as a reminder of what you have explored. It’s an accessible and inspiring way to experience empathy, inclusion, and reflection through design.
What Will You Do and Gain
Using clay and dialogue, we’ll engage with perspectives that are often excluded. We will reflect, listen, and imagine new ways to relate to non-human entities.
You’ll leave with fresh insights, a tangible object, and inspiration for ethical and inclusive approaches in your own design practice or daily life.
