Forest Design Workshop

Creativity beyond walls — experience nature, think differently, and co-create ideas that matter.

The best designer on Earth? Nature. In the Forest Design Workshop we uncover what’s usually overlooked. For 3.8 billion years nature has shaped solutions — here it becomes your studio and co-designer to reconnect, rethink and redesign a sustainable future together.

Reconnect

Arrival, pause, perspective shift. In the Forest Design Workshop we begin by reconnecting with nature as the best designer on Earth. Outside—away from screens—we slow down, become attentive, and train our perception to notice what usually slips by: micro-textures, seasonal traces, structural patterns.

Through short observation walks, mindful looking and simple making prompts, participants experience how attention changes thinking. This first phase is about presence and curiosity: tuning into forms, colours, rhythms and relationships so creative work starts from a living context rather than from the desk.

Rethink & Redesign

We work with three complementary paths in nature: (1) Biophilic design & aesthetic inspiration—letting forms, colours, materials and ecosystem patterns spark ideas and references. (2) Let nature work on you—reflective pacing and “forest bathing”–style attention; studies suggest time in nature can markedly improve focus and problem-solving, so participants sketch, note, and reframe challenges with a clearer mind. (3) Biomimicry & nature-integrated design—learning from strategies such as resilience, cycles and adaptability, then translating them into system maps, prompts and low-fidelity prototypes; when relevant, lightweight AI prompts help extract patterns and analogies. Together these paths move from seeing → sense-making → making, so people leave with reusable methods, not just a moment of inspiration.
