Experimental new shapes from playful offcuts of recycled material.
Designer Philip Bogaerts explores sustainable design with the Mohs Armchair & Echo Side Tables. The Mohs Armchair embodies Dutch minimalism, designed with a view to the future, to separate or repair materials, while the Echo Side Tables are an experimental project crafted from playful offcuts of recycled rest material from the Bogaerts Butler table collection. The half-round cuts of the original sheets leave organic shapes, which become the basis for the Echo tables. The name Echo reflects how these shapes resonate as a lingering reinterpretation. Together, they create a dialogue between structure and flow, waste and value.
Philip Bogaerts designs and develops furniture with a strong focus on project furniture for both residential and commercial spaces. Durability and sustainability are central to his work, favoring materials that can be repaired or recycled at the end of their lifecycle. This approach ensures that functionality, longevity, and responsibility coexist in every design.
