Artist bio
In my work, I seek to reconnect with something that is often lost in our society: what Audre Lorde calls the erotic. Not in a sexual sense, but as an inner force that arises from being fully present, a deep, intuitive knowing rooted in the body.
In contrast to a culture that emphasizes control, productivity, and rationality, I search for a way of working that begins with feeling and being. I do not create from a predetermined idea but let the material guide me, as Tim Ingold describes with thinking through making.
Play and embodiment are essential in this process. I choose materials such as wax, latex, and spandex for their tactile qualities; they invite touch and make me more aware of my body.
My work is not a finished product but a living process in which material, body, and thought converge. For me, art is a way of living: a path toward greater presence, sensuality, and connection.
