Campine heath sheep
We work exclusively with the regional wool from Campine heath sheep. These sheep are vital for maintaining the heath landscape. And yet their wool is routinely disregarded because there is no market for it. WOLWEVERS believes this must change. We show that this wool has value, that it’s resilient, high quality and makes beautiful textile.
Our wool is undyed or dyed using natural, plant-based methods. Only a small portion is chemically dyed, not by choice, but due to a lack of alternatives.
Pre-orders and made to order
To prevent overproduction, we produce based on pre-orders and made to order as much as possible. Our collection allows for personalisation within the design process. And because we weave in a (living) museum, wool lovers can even be present during the production of their own blanket.

WOLWEVERS can only survive by investing in knowledge and by sharing that knowledge as widely and effectively as possible. We see this transfer of knowledge as an essential part of our product. We consciously weave our woolen blankets at the Weverijmuseum Geldrop (housed in a former wool weaving mill), using a historic industrial wool loom from 1935. In doing so, we contribute to preserving both the knowledge and heritage of wool weaving on this specific type of loom. In addition, we organize masterclasses to share our expertise on wool, blankets, fabric development, wool weaving, and the finishing of woolen textiles.
