Polestar Design Rides
During Dutch Design Week (DDW), forty Polestar Design Rides will be operating throughout Eindhoven. The electric cars will be transporting visitors to and from the various DDW venues throughout the week. This means that the journey through the city also becomes part of the DDW experience.
Each Polestar Design Ride carries a special object on its roof, created by a DDW participant. These striking objects transform the cars into a travelling exhibition, making design visible throughout Eindhoven. Along the way, you will not only discover the city but also get a preview of the ideas and perspectives coming together at DDW.
Polestar is a Swedish electric performance car brand with a strong focus on design, innovation and sustainability. The brand aims to demonstrate that good design goes beyond aesthetics and can also contribute to progress and responsibility. This belief underpins the long-term partnership between DDW and Polestar. With the Polestar Design Rides, electric mobility and the work of designers literally come together on the streets.

Want to take a Polestar Design Ride from another DDW location? Call +31 (0)40 218 00 00. During busy periods or when it rains, a Design Ride may not be available straight away, so you may have to wait. You need a valid DDW wristband to ride.
