On to DDW21
Take a moment to look back at #DDW20 with DDW Talk: Designing Society!
The following weeks we’ll look back at DDW defining the key thematic storylines and coinciding content of 2020. This week we talk about the importance of design in shaping a more inclusive society in line with the theme: Design Society.
Design can address societal issues, create inclusive communities, advocate new cultural behaviour and promote well-being. Especially in these times of uncertainty and social shifts, the social design perspective offers an important contribution to a more inclusive world, in which (physical) limitations or heritage do not determine your value or experiences in society.
During Dutch Design Week (DDW) Jeroen Junte, Editor in Chief at Design Digger and design correspondent for a.o. De Volkskrant, wrote a daily column about the trends on DDW20.
