In 1997, the Complex Foundation realized twenty-eight studios for artists, designers and musicians. Ten of these studios also offer living space. The Kruisruimte has been a presentation and exhibition space intended for this purpose from the start. Both users of the studios (of the Complex foundation) and outsiders can rent the Kruisruimte for a reasonable price. The space is in use 70% of the year.
