Discover the designs shaping the future with your students and inspire the makers of tomorrow!
Dutch Design Week (DDW), taking place in Eindhoven from 17 to 25 October, is packed with new ideas, clever inventions and inspiring designs. During the festival, Eindhoven becomes a celebration of curiosity and inspiration for everyone interested in the world of tomorrow.
As DDW coincides with the autumn holidays in the Southern and Central Netherlands regions this year, we have developed lesson materials to bring DDW into the classroom before the holidays begin. Through these lessons, students discover how design can contribute to a better, fairer and more sustainable world. They get creative themselves and enjoy a preview of DDW26, which they can visit independently during the holidays.
Would you like to visit DDW with your group? From mid-September onwards, you will find tips and festival routes for students below.
DDW in the classroom | Lesson materials
Discover our lesson materials about design and DDW. They help students explore creativity, innovation and sustainability through design. The materials are easy to use in the classroom and offer inspiring ways to connect education with current challenges.

Routes and tips
There is plenty to experience at Dutch Design Week (DDW), especially for young people. By following one of the design routes, they can explore different forms of design, creativity and technological innovation. They will meet designers and have the opportunity to work with design themselves at various locations.
Choose the route that best suits your group, find the starting point and set off:
- Ages 14 and over (link available soon)
- Young Creators Route (link available soon)
Guided tour
Discover DDW with a guide. The tours offer students an inspiring introduction to the festival, its exhibitions and the stories behind the designs. Schools can book a guided tour at a special rate of €250,00 per group, excluding VAT and DDW tickets. Each tour accommodates up to 15 students or participants. If your group is larger, you can book multiple tours. The two-hour tour takes in a selection of exhibitions and festival locations at Strijp-S.

- DDW does not have a single starting point: you can begin your visit anywhere in the city.
- Most locations are open daily from 11:00 to 18:00. Check the programme for any exceptions.
- Several routes are available to help you plan your visit. There is also an introductory exhibition about DDW that is suitable for students. You can find it at Strijp-S, in front of the Klokgebouw.
