Discover the designs shaping the future with your pupils and inspire the makers of tomorrow!
Dutch Design Week (DDW), taking place in Eindhoven from 17 to 25 October, is packed with new ideas, clever inventions and inspiring designs. During the festival, Eindhoven becomes a celebration of curiosity and inspiration for everyone interested in the world of tomorrow.
As DDW coincides with the autumn holidays in the Southern and Central Netherlands regions this year, we have developed special lesson materials to bring DDW into the classroom before the holidays begin. Through these lessons, pupils discover how design can contribute to a better, fairer and more sustainable world. They get creative themselves and enjoy a preview of DDW26, which they can visit independently during the holidays.
Would you like to visit DDW with your class? From September onwards, you will find tips and festival routes for pupils on this page.

Routes and tips
There is plenty to experience at Dutch Design Week (DDW), especially for young people. By following one of the design routes, they can explore different forms of design, creativity and technological innovation. They will meet designers and have the opportunity to work with design themselves at various locations.

Getting there and accessibility
- Dutch Design Week (DDW) 2026 takes place from 17 to 25 October at more than 120 locations across Eindhoven. You can find all locations on the festival map.
- DDW does not have a single starting point: you can begin your visit anywhere in the city.
- Most locations are open daily from 11:00 to 18:00. Check the programme for any exceptions.
- Several routes are available to help you plan your visit. There is also an introductory exhibition about DDW that is suitable for pupils. You can find it at Strijp-S, in front of the Klokgebouw.
- Parking during DDW can be challenging, particularly at Strijp-S. If possible, travel by bicycle or public transport.
- Is your class travelling by coach? Pupils can be dropped off at the Kiss & Ride on Achtseweg Zuid in Eindhoven, near Strijp-S station. Coaches cannot remain there, but free coach parking is available further along Achtseweg Zuid.
- Every year, we learn and take further steps towards making Dutch Design Week as accessible as possible for everyone. Information about wheelchair accessibility, low-stimulus spaces and quieter times can be found on the accessibility page.
- More detailed information is available on the DDW travel and accessibility page.
