Dutch Design Foundation's range of activities and responsibilities has continued to broaden in recent years, as we have undertaken numerous new collaborations. With our role as accelerator and matchmaker, we bring the private and public spheres together and connect them with designers. After all, we believe that the vision and potency of designers enables them to devise and advance solution directions for the challenges we face as individuals, as a country and as a world. It is therefore our mission to strengthen design power in our society. A mission that Frank van Es and Kim Dingler passionately endorse and support. We are grateful and proud of their desire to play an active role in fulfilling that mission. With their accession, Dutch Design Foundation has formed a strong, multidisciplinary and independent Supervisory Board (BoS) of five professionals, with whom we look forward to the future with confidence. As of today, our BoS consists of: Frank van Es (chairman), Marleen Crooijmans, Marièlle Beek, Oscar Kneppers and Kim Dingler.
And to introduce Frank and Kim:
With Frank van Es as our chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dutch Design Foundation brings an experienced and enthusiastic director on board. With his expertise as managing director of TwynstraGudde and previously as an organisational consultant, he stands ready to advance the strategic development and growth of the organisation.
Frank is closely involved in the development of social design as a design perspective, and has recognised in practice that a designing approach –– with its positive view on the future –– helps make societal transitions flourish. He envisages its great potential for DDF and designers, both at home and around the world.
Kim Dingler is Chief Operations Officer and manages the creative agency network ACE. With her background at Heineken, Talpa, BBDO, and others, plus as director of the ADCN (Art Directors Club Nederland), she has a real passion for creativity. Kim’s experience has convinced her of the critical role creatives play in shaping our society.
