Open Call for Grand Projects Dutch Design Week 2025

27 February 2025

Dutch Design Week (DDW) is excited to announce its second open call for projects in Eindhoven's public spaces during this year's edition. Applications are open for designers, architects, and creators to present large-scale projects, exhibitions, and installations at the center of DDW25’s dynamic landscape. The event, set to take place from October 18 to 26, offers a unique platform for groundbreaking work that engages a broad audience.

Call for Grand Public Installations

DDW is seeking monumental projects, immersive installations, and thought-provoking presentations suited for high-visibility locations of DDW, such as Stadhuisplein, Markt, and Ketelhuisplein—key public squares in Eindhoven that attract tens of thousands of visitors. Building on last year’s powerful edition, this Open Call continues to celebrate how our community actively shapes the spaces at the heart of DDW.

Application

The call welcomes applications from all design disciplines, including architecture, product design, art, and research. DDW prioritizes projects that push spatial boundaries, challenge conventions, and inspire public interaction.” Previous selections ranged from a nine-day research project to inflatable architecture and monumental installations.

The chosen projects will be developed in collaboration with Dutch Design Foundation and Bureau Binnenstad Eindhoven. Interested designers and studios can submit their work via the Dutch Design Week website before 14 March, 2025.
