Fossil Free Wardrobe

Do you know of what materials your clothes are made? Do you know there are sustainable alternatives?

On 22 October we invite you to visit Wageningen University & Research at the New Order of Fashion Lab. We need you to create a fossil-free wardrobe.

Wageningen University & Research wants your input

Circular Textiles is an important theme at Wageningen University & Research (WUR). Work is carried out on this theme through (student) research, projects and education. Now, we need your input. Learn about the materials that are now mainly used and see, look and feel alternative textiles of the future and give feedback on what you think of it. Only together we can work on a more fair, clean and sustainable fashion industry.

Circular fashion @ WUR

Wageningen University & Research has long standing reputation in sustainability research. The knowledge we’ve gathered through research in the food sector, provides ample opportunity to improve the fashion industry, as both sectors prove to struggle with similar challenges. Whether it’s optimizing cotton production, research towards biobased materials or investigating consumer behavior.

About Wageningen University & Research

For 105 years, WUR has worked on solving problems and shaping a sustainable future. This is not just a firmly established theme in our research and education, but it is also a common thread in the way WUR is governed. We take an interdisciplinary, science-based approach to solve major global challenges defined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
