Buurtschap te Veld is Eindhoven's answer to the housing shortage. Quick and smart, it is an initiative that contributes to the housing market, explores new concepts, and invites participation. Buurtschap te Veld is a temporary neighborhood, permitted to exist for thirty years.
An Unconventional, Affordable Green Home Tour | Minitopia en Woonbedrijf
Buurtschap te Veld is Eindhoven's innovative response to the housing shortage: a temporary neighborhood permitted to stand for 30 years. Each "room" contains 30-80 homes with a unique layout and its own identity. In addition to residential spaces, you'll find a community heart, urban gardens, and plans for a nature playground. During this tour, you'll learn how this special neighborhood was created, the challenges faced, and why it’s such an inspiring place.

Workshop on Innovation and Community Building | Van Wijnen
In the northern part of Eindhoven, we’re not just building houses, we’re building a community. Buurtschap te Veld is a neighborhood where people truly live together. To strengthen this sense of community, there has been a strong focus on participation both before and during construction. We’d love to share more about this during our workshop on innovation and community building. But it doesn’t stop there—we’ll also be working together to define the criteria for what makes a good neighborhood, now and in the future. Factory-Built Construction Tour | Van Wijnen
Building differently means a transition in construction, focusing on digitization and industrialization. This vision led to the creation of the Van Wijnen housing factory—a unique facility where 20 homes are produced daily. At Buurtschap te Veld, you'll find the first homes from this factory, assembled on-site in just one day. We would love to show you these homes and explain the advantages of factory-built construction. Despite the standardization, no design needs to be the same!
