DEWA & DEWI, initiated by Thailand's DITP, transforms agricultural and industrial waste into innovative, sustainable products. The project underscores Thailand’s dedication to global sustainability and supports local manufacturers in achieving international trade readiness for a sustainable society.

Circular Innovation

Since launching in 2013 by Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion, DEWA & DEWI has led the way in transforming agricultural and industrial waste into functional and visually appealing design solutions. Showcased at Dutch Design Week under the theme "Unified to Revive: New Future of Waste," our exhibit embodies our dedication to Reuse, Recycle, and Reduce, supporting the global movement toward a Circular Economy. This initiative aims not only to reduce environmental impact but also to reveal the untapped potential of waste materials, inspiring sustainable practices and innovation.

Collaborative Transformation

This year’s DEWA & DEWI initiative brings together visionary designers and skilled manufacturers in vibrant workshops to craft new products from agricultural and industrial waste. This collaboration is pivotal in propelling Thailand's Circular Economy forward and nurturing local entrepreneurship. By repurposing waste into unique, functional, and ethically produced products, each creation emerges as a testament to innovation and an enduring commitment to a more sustainable future.

ROUND AND ROUND

ROUND AND ROUND is the concept of the exhibition, its main objective is to utilize design and creativity to create values for waste materials that may otherwise turn into environmental pollution and transform them into new products that are unique, practical, and cause lower social impact. As a result of the collaboration between 14 Thai manufacturers and Thai designers, waste materials go through experiment and development processes before they are brought back to life in their new forms.
