Designed for Society — © Students from IDE

Join us at the Fontys Industrial Design Engineering exposition. Experience the future of design that prioritizes people and the planet. Discover how students address real-world challenges, from accessibility to environmental impact.

Inclusive solutions

Students at Fontys Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) create innovative solutions for real-world clients daily. Their designs enhance inclusivity, accessibility and social benefits.

At our booth, you’ll see a variety of prototypes and the design process, including sketches and mockups. Highlights include:

- A smart ball for visually impaired children
- Support aids for individuals with leg length differences
- An enhanced white cane for better nighttime visibility for visually impaired people
- A vibrating cushion to soothe individuals with dementia

Sustainable solutions

In addition to tackling inclusivity and accessibility, today’s students are passionate about addressing environmental challenges.

On display are innovative results such as:

- A repairable water kettle for Bourgini, crafted from reused materials
- A 3D printed shoe made from a single material, making it easy to fully recycle
