Embassy of Safety

Embassy of Safety Expo DDW 2023 — © Max Kneefel

How do we ensure that everyone can walk the streets safely at night? Or how do we help both victims and perpetrators recover after a crime? The Embassy of Safety collaborates on these kinds of issues with organisations in the safety domain, designers, and citizens.

New safety. Make it fair. Make it together.

Working on safety is not always easy. Our society has many different people, interests, and ideas. Some voices are heard less than others. The Embassy of Safety wants to involve everyone who is affected. We do this fairly and transparently so that everyone can genuinely participate. This includes young people in detention, those with language barriers, and professionals in the safety field.

Design-led working is our driving force. We engage designers to bring together different perspectives, generate new insights, and imagine the future. What do we want our new approach to safety to look like? To find out, we combine creativity and science, test ideas, and involve people from diverse backgrounds. We work closely with our partners in the safety domain, building on their expertise.

A new approach to safety doesn’t just happen on its own. We create it fairly and together, so that everyone feels safe in society. Will you join us?
