Jeroen Erosie is working on a living mural in the Van Abbemuseum. The wall is being filled from left to right with shapes that react to each other, telling their own story.

Alternative Entrance by Jeroen Erosie

The city is one of the most important sources of inspiration. A blend of coincidence and repetition. The line is at the centre of Erosie’s work. The act of drawing lines is an open-ended game, an exploration of shapes. The free movement within those shapes comes from his background in graffiti, illustration and fine art. He developed this way of art-making organically over the years. A process that has been recorded in his many sketchbooks. Here, we see how different art forms have made Erosie the artist he is today. The exhibition of his work is part of the programme on street culture in Eindhoven. The exhibition Eindhoven: a HipHop story can be seen on the second floor of the Collection Building of the Van Abbemuseum.
