Designing Society

Studio Kader

This year, World Design Embassies, What if Lab, PONT and Maakruimte voor Mooi NL are coming together in an overarching exhibition on the Ketelhuisplein: 'Designing Society'.

Designing Society

Everything around us has been designed—from the homes we live in to the social systems we rely on. And if it can be designed, it can be redesigned. We are living in times of big changes. Together, we are facing crises like climate change, polarisation, and conflict that demand urgent, fundamental changes to our systems.

This exhibition by Dutch Design Foundation explores the power of design as a tool for change. By combining the creativity of designers with scientific insights, corporate responsibility, and political will, we can reimagine and reshape our world into a sustainable, liveable, and just society for future generations.

'Designing Society' invites you to explore fresh perspectives on possible futures. Discover how, together, we can connect the power of design to the complex transitions facing our world today. Join us in envisioning a world that not only meets today’s challenges but also fulfils the promise of a better tomorrow.

About Dutch Design Foundation

Dutch Design Foundation is optimistic and believes that the problem-solving capacity of designers can improve the world. That’s why Dutch Design Foundation offers designers opportunities, support, publicity and a platform. But how do we do that? We do this in a variety of ways. Through large and small events, exhibitions, talks, prizes and debates, Dutch Design Foundation provides a platform for the best and most promising designers. In this way, we help them to spread their ideas and work.
