When there is no waste.
Studio Remy shows a new collection of pendant lights, meticulously crafted from locally sourced catalpa trees, known for their unique and fast growth and light weight. This collection features lamps made from a tree which was uprooted during recent storms.
Each lamp is one-of-a-kind, reflecting the distinctive design philosophy of Studio Remy and the craftsmanship of him and his custom-built CNC machine. This innovative technology allows for precision and creativity in shaping the wood, ensuring that each piece is not only functional but also the commitment to minimizing waste.
Because the design process utilizes small wood blocks, sized at 4cm³, which allows for optimal use of the material. This attention to detail ensures that almost every piece of wood contributes to the final product, reducing waste and highlighting the beauty of the natural grain.
Every lamp in this collection is produced entirely in-house, reflecting Studio Remy’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship. The modular designs are adjustable in length, providing versatility for various spaces.
