In collaboration with WEEEF, Marlou Rutten and Marieke van de Ven developed a textile made from paper yarn that explores the synergy between light and material. The light unfolds from a 3D woven fabric and emphasises the natural drape of the paper yarn, giving the lamp a sculptural character.

Exploring the synergy between light and material.

Drawn by the interplay between sculpture and functional design, Jakari embodies a material gesture. By merging new materials with traditional techniques, and traditional techniques with unconventional methods, Jakari challenges the boundaries of textile innovation. It not only celebrates the dialogue between past and present but also redefines it, offering a fresh perspective on design and craft.
