Thomas Dekens, Furniture maker

The furniture is presented in the smallest furniture workshop in the Netherlands, called a Poddie.

The Poddie is a homemade 2-by-2-meter fully equipped mini workshop from which the furniture is designed and crafted.

The furniture

Amidst the noise of progress and the endless pursuit of more, you’ll find a space where time stretches out. A place that feels like home, detached from urgency. With tables that seem to wait for someone to join, a chair that doesn’t call out but gently invites, and lamps that don’t demand bright light but whisper. Thomas Dekens presents furniture not just designed to live with, but to pause with. Each piece — from candleholders to coffee tables — is born from the mind and hands of a single maker. One project, one focus, one story. These pieces ask for nothing. They simply are.

About Thomas Dekens

Years ago, I started doing projects in the garage to spend more time with my dad. While I have always been intrigued by developing an idea into a real-life concept, in the workshop I was able to bring this together with a passion for old-fashioned craftsmanship, such as wood and steel working. Currently, my goal is to design furniture that will outlive the owner.
