This is (not) a person is an interactive multimedia experience by MindLabs. Visitors encounter virtual humans in realistic settings such as healthcare, education, and media. The project explores how virtual humans challenge our understanding of trust, empathy, and human connection.
Past, Present, and Possible: blurring the line between humans and virtual humans
This is (not) a person is a thought-provoking multimedia exhibition by MindLabs that takes visitors on a journey through time and technology. In the past, human interactions were purely physical and direct, but today we increasingly encounter virtual interactions in fields such as healthcare, education, and media.
Through interactive experiences with AI-driven digital humans and real people, the project explores how these virtual figures challenge our traditional ideas of trust, empathy, and human connection. The exhibition invites reflection on what this development means for our future: how will our relationship with technology and virtual humans evolve, and what impact will this have on who we are and how we relate to one another? By doing so, the project encourages an open conversation about the potential benefits and risks of a world where the line between humans and virtual reality increasingly blurs.
