Architecture & engineering consultancy Sweco is exploring this together with art & design studio Fillip Studios. In co-creation sessions with interdisciplinary experts ideas, knowledge, and perspectives have been combined into a new concept that contributes to the societies and cities of the future
Commissioned by Earth
The climate crisis, resource depletion, and pressure on ecosystems make it clear that it is time for a different perspective: designing and building from a regenerative mindset. Not only for people, but with care for soil, water, air, biodiversity, and future generations.
Co/Lab
This is the fifth Sweco Co/Lab in collaboration with Dutch Design Foundation. This year, Sweco is working with Fillip Studios from Arnhem, known for their interactive installations that merge art, technology, and wonder. In several co-creation sessions, Fillip Studios and Sweco experts from different disciplines brought together their knowledge, ideas, and perspectives around the concept of ‘Earth as a client.’
By looking beyond the initial client request—and by truly collaborating with everything the Earth provides—solutions emerge that are future-proof, resilient, and attuned to the environment in which they are applied.
The installation
The insights from the co-creation sessions will be made tangible during DDW in a powerful, interactive installation. An experience that stimulates all the senses and invites visitors to take their own steps toward a resilient living environment.
