PICCHE - THE CHEST OF DRAWERS

A Whimsical Collectible Chest of Drawers

Collectible Design by Atelier Arunika — © Atelier Arunika

Picche is a limited-edition collectible chest of drawers by Atelier Arunika. Handmade in India, it transforms everyday storage into a sculptural object, blending Postmodern expression, playful symmetry, and fine craftsmanship.

Postmodern Whimsy

Picche explores how a familiar household object can become a source of curiosity, emotion, and interaction. Conceived as a limited-edition collectible chest of drawers, it reinterprets conventional storage through sculptural form and narrative expression. The design draws inspiration from the meticulously composed visual worlds of Wes Anderson and the bold, expressive vocabulary of Postmodern design, resulting in a piece that feels both playful and refined. Its stacked, rounded drawers create an anthropomorphic silhouette, while its distinctive feet introduce a subtle sense of character and movement. Every proportion, curve, and detail is carefully considered to balance functionality with personality. Rather than concealing its purpose, Picche celebrates it, inviting users to experience storage not merely as utility but as an engaging object that encourages conversation, imagination, and emotional connection within contemporary living spaces.
