VakWerk is the name of the spatial formations Mathias Van de Winkel likes to invent.
Its modular construction system has been impressing countless festivals for a while, from Belgium to Dubai.
VakWerk's concept shines in both simplicity and versatility. Thanks to the design and manufacture of a unique junction, old scaffolding tubes can be efficiently attached. Playing with dynamic lines, rhythmic patterns and resting points, they give shape to any construction dream. The possibilities are endless and scalable and therefore applied in all kinds of areas. Pop-up bars, festivals, beach bars, but also smaller outdoor furniture, just to mention a few.
Each setup is an exemplary gem of the 3 Ps: people, planet and profit. VakWerk consciously chooses reuse. The materials used are never new they have a past and a story. After their application, they can easily take off on their next adventure. This sustainable, socially responsible vision is fully reflected in every realization: the whole is always natural, slightly rough and therefore irresistibly charming. All good things are wild and free.
