Presenting 16 imaginative solutions to reduce waste and its enormous impact on climate change

No Waste Challenge exhibition

What Design Can Do (WDCD) is an international platform that advocates for design as a tool for social change. In January 2021, WDCD launched the No Waste Challenge, a global competition calling for imaginative solutions to reduce waste and its enormous impact on climate change. The response was exceptional—and from a total of 1409 entries, 16 ground-breaking ideas were ultimately selected for the top prize.

WDCD is proud to present the winning projects to the public in an interactive installation as part of the Yksi Expo at this year’s DDW. From carbon-negative tiles to microbial fashion, the No Waste Challenge Exhibition will celebrate the small hacks and big ideas that are bringing us closer to a circular future.
