Circular materials, custom-made, and locally produced: furniture brand Nel and 3D print platform Aectual introduce sustainable Sofas and Screens
Nel X Aectual: Circular materials, custom-made, and locally produced
Nel is the first fully sustainable furniture design brand in The Netherlands. All sofas are locally produced. Materials are sustainable and of the highest quality. Wool from recycled sweaters. Leather from biologically held cows. Nel sofas are made for a lifetime. Delivered in 8 weeks to your living room. After usage the sofa can be picked up and all materials will be re-used.
Aectual is the World’s first online platform that produces circular 3D printed interior and architectural products. All products are 100% circular, made-to-measure, and designed by known and upcoming designers. For the first time shown at DDW, their collection of screens designed by House of DUS and a collaboration between Roos Meeder en Michiel Wijnen varies from graphical and transparent hanging screens to solid standing room dividers. The screens are made of a plant-based plastic that is entirely recyclable into newly printed products and are produced made-to-measure and on-demand only.
Both companies share the same values: They work with circular materials, create custom-made products only, and produce locally.
