Simone Post's starting point in the vast world of textiles was a perfectly smooth table cloth that falls off a round table, a recognisable image that pleats in unexpected and sensual ways.

The fusion between designer and industry thus resulted in products with a dual quality.

Textile Shaped Ceramics is a collaboration between Studio Simone Post and Cor Unum that aims to give ceramic - usually a hard and static material - the tactile qualities and movement that we assign to textiles. Simone Post's starting point in the vast world of textiles was a perfectly smooth table cloth that falls off a round table, a recognisable image that pleats in unexpected and sensual ways. The final product resulted from an intensive period of working together whereby extensive in-house experiments added sensory qualities to the ceramic. The fusion between designer and industry thus resulted in products with a dual quality that cannot be reached without this experimental and interwoven type of collaboration
