(Archive) KoffieKopSalon

Atelier NL is always looking to connect, people with each other and their surroundings.

This project was part of DDW 2021

For the KoffieKopSalon pilot project, Lonny and Nadine invited all local residents to come and make their own coffee cups from local clay in the Bergmannkerk church.

KoffieKopSalon is a collaboration with Residency for the People.

This way, they experience the remarkable transformation of local resources into finished products and discover their own creative talents. Participants form new social ties as they work together and share a coffee from their self-made cups.

KoffieKopSalon is a collaboration with Residency for the People, an initiative by designer Lucas Maassen to open up the creative space of the artist residency for everyone. This experiment investigates if and how a street can become a creative cooperation of all residents: in the role of designer, maker, marketing person or photographer of a collective product. Can you mass-produce your own coffee cup? An activity that is produced locally and that focuses on cohesion, focus and fun.

During DDW, the unique collection of coffee cups from the workshop will be presented and used in the bar of Residency for the People in Kerkstraat 1 in Eindhoven. Part of the cups can also be seen at Atelier NL in the Bergmannstraat.
