Who invented the "first" weigthed Loom?
Imagine walking around in Strijp after the ice age in animal skins and asking AI: What will I wear tonight? It responded: start spinning threads, many threads, long thin threads (what are threads?), find yourself a few branches, make a frame against a wall, attach somehow these threads in regular spacings in two directions and organize your thread bundles for the heddles and attach weights…then start “weaving”…
Would you understand what is meant? Can you make this?
Something for your Emergency Preparations
It is now recommended to put together an emergency kit so that you and your family can survive the first 72 hours (3 days) in the event of a prolonged power, water, or internet outage, or in the event of another emergency situation – the government propably is thinking of an invasion by the Huns from the East or something like that (?).
Suppose something like that lasts a bit longer, then we will have to start weaving our own textiles again. For this, however, we would need to be able to build a loom...so I propose adding this loom to your emergency kit...
